Doctor of Ministry
Doctor of Ministry (30 credits)
The Doctor of Ministry is open to those who have completed a Master of Divinity and 3 years of pastoral ministry, or a 60-credit hour Master’s Degree with 10 years of pastoral Ministry. These requirements may be waved at the discretion of the pastoral education committee or Doctor of Ministry Director.
Courses credits may be earned in the following ways:
The program shall consist of 30 credit hours to be obtained by the following methods:
1. The D Min student shall earn 6 credits for a thesis, dissertation, paper or textbook consisting of a minimum of 125 pages. A D Min student must do at least one writing project during the course of their DMin program. A DMin student may be permitted to obtain all 30 credits through writing projects.
2. The D Min student shall earn 3 credit hours by successful completion of a 3 credit hour doctoral course/seminary. Those courses shall be provided by or authorized by the DMin advisor. The course must include 1500 pages of assigned reading.
