Admission Requirements
Admissions Policies: Those applying for admission are required to: (1) Fill out and submit the application form, (2) Provide a letter of standing from their home congregation, (3) a letter or personal recommendation, (4) Proof of graduation or GED to enter the Certificate program for ordination, or Proof of Bachelor’s Degree for those applying to a Master’s program, or Proof of MDiv or equivalent for Doctor of Ministry program (5) selection of a local mentor to be approved by VPSM.
There is no application fee for those who are members of Vanguard Presbyterian Church congregations, or supported missions. A $20 application fee shall apply to all others
Those who reside outside of the United States or Canada are required to provide proof of English Comprehension.
Local Mentor Policies: All students are required to have a local mentor who is approved by VPSM. The local mentor must be a TE. They must also attest to full subscription to the Westminster Standards.
Cost: Tuition is free for those who are members of Vanguard Presbyterian Church congregations or supported missions. Exemption from tuition may be granted to those who have an interest in serving in Vanguard but do not currently attend a Vanguard church. Some courses will require the purchase of books or other materials as stated in the course syllabus. Tuition shall be $50 per course for those outside of Vanguard Presbyterian Church or its supported missions.
